We are pleased to announce this month’s winner of the Out and About in a RiFi monthly photography/ modeling contest in which SecondLife residents are given an opportunity to acquire a cash prize and the right to be the RiFi Focus model for the month of their reign.
Miss Karina Saunders … the panel of fashion industry professionals which include other fashion designers and BOSL employees, have chosen YOU!
“A ‘focus model’ to me is the one girl who I work into all of that month’s advertising, blogging etc. It’s an opportunity for one lucky girl to work on building her modeling career and reputation with live visibility, something she can boast about and with a professional flair,” states Filipa Thespian, Owner and Designer for RiFi Emporium.
Models wear an outfit made by RiFi Emporium, of which no purchase is required, a free selection is always available by the contest entry sign at RiFi’s main store. The model then goes out into SecondLife and takes a photograph of herself in the RiFi frock. Inspiration, creativity and uniqueness are very important. She’ll submit this photo with a notecard describing her inspiration for the shot and including the SLURL of the place they were for the shot. Click here to see the official contest rules.
“This is not a popularity contest. When it’s time for judging, I provide the information needed to up to 5 fashion industry professionals completely anonymously. In otherwords, they do not know who that is in the photo, they are going totally by the rules, the photo and the inspiration description,” Filipa adds.
September’s RiFi Focus model, Miss BridgetMarlene McDonnell, when asked, had this to say about the contest, “being a RiFi Model is one of the best things I have ever experienced in SL. Not only did Filipa promote me on websites, blogs and in her store but worked to get me noticed wherever she could. I know you will enjoy the same success and fame in SL like I did. Congratulations on your win and welcome aboard.”
